We cover one of the most natural, unspoilt parts of Powys, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, starting 5 miles along the A40 west of Brecon. The area (about 36 sq miles) is entirely rural, with fields, woodland and many farmsteads to be seen on the side of the hills. Trallong is a hamlet facing south, looking down on the upper reaches of the River Usk and with spectacular panoramic views of much of the Brecon Beacons range of hills.
