RCAHMW carries out surveys, maintains an archive, library and national database (NMRW), supplies archaeological information to the Ordnance Survey for mapping purposes, and publishes information about ancient, historical and maritime sites, structures and landscapes.

Cefn Croes Campaign

An American backed company wishes to build Britain’s largest wind power station yet in the heart of Mid Wales. RDC proposes to build 39 enormous turbines on Cefn Croes. We do not wish to see turbines on Cefn Croes because it is not necessary. There are many other more effective and less damaging ways of reducing our dependence upon fossil fuels. The damage that the Cefn Croes power station will do to the landscape of Mid-Wales is not worth the small amount of electricity that it will generate.
