Set in 150 acres of permanent pasture this small stud aims to breed hardy, sound, commercial flat horses from good families. Foals and yearlings are sold annually at major sales and they are going on to win at home and abroad. Castell Henllys is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and one of many prehistoric promontory forts in the National Park dating to around 600BC. What makes this site particularly important is that archaeologists have been excavating here for nearly twenty years and thatched Iron Age buildings have been reconstructed on their original foundations.
