Maesnant Outdoor Pursuits Centre The Maesnant Centre is an outdoor pursuits centre designed to provide self catering accommodation for youth groups. The majority of the centre's hirers use Maesnant as a base for training activities for outdoor education activities such as the Expedition part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. An American backed company wishes to build Britain’s largest wind power station yet in the heart of Mid Wales. RDC proposes to build 39 enormous turbines on Cefn Croes. We do not wish to see turbines on Cefn Croes because it is not necessary. There are many other more effective and less damaging ways of reducing our dependence upon fossil fuels. The damage that the Cefn Croes power station will do to the landscape of Mid-Wales is not worth the small amount of electricity that it will generate.CATEGORIES: Conservation Groups , Electricity Generation
